PingProperties has concluded a long-term lease with Siemens for a commercial space to be developed at Dutch Tech Campus in Zoetermeer. Siemens Smart Infrastructure, part of Siemens, will move some of its activities to Werner von Siemensstraat 49, comprising approx. 4,500 m² of commercial space and 1,100 m² of office space. The completion is scheduled for the end of 2022.
Siemens and Lamboo Medical will jointly move into the new building, which has a total floor area of approx. 21,000 m². Accommodating these two leading businesses in one building will generate synergy benefits; not only will Siemens systems, such as MRI scanners, be assembled in the medical accommodations of Lamboo Medical, but the building technology used will contribute to the sustainability targets set out in the Fit for 55 Package of the European Commission. With a view to shortages in the labour market for technicians, Siemens expects the new accommodation at Dutch Tech Campus to boost its attraction to young technicians. They could, for example, work as trainees and start their career in the building. Collaborative ventures with The Hague University of Applied Sciences, which is also located at the campus, and other training courses in the region will play an important role in this respect. Such collaborative advantages perfectly match the vision of Dutch Tech Campus.
