Energy infrastructure specialist Joulz is moving its head office to Dutch Tech Campus (DTC) in Zoetermeer. The arrival of Joulz is an important addition to DTC’s ecosystem in the area of infrastructure and communication technology.
PingProperties has concluded a long-term lease with Joulz, a company offering businesses and organizations capacity solutions for the energy transition. Joulz will relocate to Werner Von Siemensstraat 11 and 17 (buildings C2 and C3) at the start of 2026, where it will lease a total of approx. 3,668 square metres of lettable office and commercial space, 800 square metres of external space and 70 parking spaces.
PingProperties was advised in this transaction by De Mik Real Estate Partners jointly with colleague commercial estate agent Hopman & Schreuder Bedrijfshuisvesting.
Improvement of sustainability to achieve energy label A
By concluding this long-term lease PingProperties is not only adding a tenant. Before Joulz arrives, the owner will create a sustainable energy label A for office building C2, the future Joulz head office. In the next few months the building will be transformed into a building that will meet high standards in terms of energy consumption. Following the renovation, which will be completed in the last quarter of this year, Joulz will move to DTC.
Robert Ciggaar, Investment Manager at PingProperties: ‘This lease brings the occupancy rate of DTC up to 95%, an impressive level that has not been reached since the Campus was acquired in 2015. This underlines the appeal of DTC as a location for establishing a business. The arrival of parties that are active within a specific technical chain and add lasting value to the campus offers a strong basis for the further growth and development of DTC.’
Important innovative role
Sytse Zuidema, CEO at Joulz: ‘We look forward to moving our headquarters to DTC very soon and having our base of operations there. Not only does DTC meet our accommodation requirements, but it is also a location that suits us well, considering all the other businesses there that each play a major role in the technical sector in the Netherlands.’
