PingProperties has signed a long-term lease with TNO, the organization for applied science and technology, for Dutch Tech Campus (DTC) in Zoetermeer. This lease is for a total of 2,419 m2 LFA of business space and 6 parking spaces at Werner Von Siemensstraat 17 (building C3).
TNO is opening its Bio-based Building Material Lab on the campus. Following a thorough evaluation of buildings in Delft, it was clear that no suitable locations were available there. Dutch Tech Campus in Zoetermeer, though, offers the facilities that TNO needs, including access to a network of innovative businesses on the campus. The proximity of Delft, where TNO already has a strong presence, was also a major factor in its decision.
Dick Plomp, Manager Real Estate TNO: “We are delighted to develop and test bio-based building materials at Dutch Tech Campus. This development marks an important step for TNO in its mission to achieve a circular economy by 2050. Work will begin soon, with the ambition to be fully operational in mid-2025.”
The arrival of TNO at DTC is a substantial boost for the campus, says Maarten Matze (CIO PingProperties): “The people at TNO work every day on the latest technologies and methods for valuable innovations, so TNO’s positioning fits in perfectly with Dutch Tech Campus. Not only does this enhance the innovative character of the campus, but it will also have a positive impact on the Zoetermeer region and further afield.”
PingProperties was assisted with this letting transaction by Hopman & Schreuder Bedrijfshuisvesting.
